Thanks for your interest in the Hoos Around Study at the University of Virginia!

Who can participate? We're looking for incoming first-year UVA students (class of ‘27). You must be also be 18 years or older.

What will it involve? For two two-week time periods this Fall semester, we’ll ask you to install an app on your phone that will passively record your location so we can see how you move about your environment. It’ll also ping you once a day to answer a few quick questions. After each of the two-week periods, we'll send you an online survey.

How will I be compensated? You’ll receive a $30 digital gift card after each of the two periods (a total of $60).
